Friends and Family
Some of the most important things in life revolve around friends and family.
The whole way this site came to be stems from:
- my lack of family as a child
- my ongoing need for family as I grew up and became a wife and parent myself
and
- ultimately discovering I can have an internet family.
So you’ll understand why a lot of what we write about will involve issues and problems (made better or worse) by friends and family.
For instance, with me being a previous foster child and my iMom being a previous foster parent, we are able to discuss all aspects of foster care. Our experience gives both views, so you can make an informed decision about foster care for yourself.

Sometimes I am curious about interrelations within many different families. The diversities are countless. I have to admit that I have no way to relate to those who, for one reason or another, went through their formative years without their biological family.
I can however, come to the realization that decisions are made and these things occur for good reason. I also know it is never the fault of the child. It simply cannot be. When adults are not worthy to have the precious gift of children, this is the result.
I remain in awe of individuals who have the will and inner strength to rise above the difficult situations in which they find themselves. Real life miracles can happen in many of these cases. You are in a special position to share the wisdom you gained. You can uplift and rescue others who may be struggling with whatever doubts and confusion they have. What a gift to humanity. Be proud. The world is proud of you.
