Back pain relief is something I have needed since an auto accident in 2009. I never thought about needing back pain relief until that accident. I was traveling down the road, and a reckless driver failed to stop at a stop sign. Instead they sped up. Slammed directly into my driver’s side door. Many initial details about the accident are fuzzy, other than being lucky to survive. The lingering pain and my constant search for back pain relief never let me forget that day. But finally, in 2016, I am experiencing back pain relief using a natural remedy. Here’s my story.
I have been blessed to have my iMom in my life. If it were not for her I would still be searching, and still suffering. My iMom told me about the all-natural product called Mobicosa that gave her relief from arthritis pain. She told me Mobicosa was available in a capsule and a topical gel, and suggested I start using both. She made no promises, but thought it may just offer back pain relief.
My iMom sent me some and insisted I try it. She asked me to write about my experience with back pain and my search for back pain relief, which I did. That’s what you’re reading here ~ plus my update after just one month using Mobicosa capsules and gel. As you’ll see, it feels wonderful to be having such success!
Needing Back Pain Relief
Countless bulging discs, herniated discs, inward bulging, pressure on my spinal cord and nerve damage were just some of the injuries I received in the car crash in 2009. I never received a clear and total diagnosis. (Those seeking back pain relief know that it can be impossible to get a clear diagnosis from medical professionals.)
I spent the first full year after the accident going to 4 or 5 doctors and as many appointments each week. Limitation would control what I could physically handle.
My physical limitations were:
- 10 lb lifting restriction
- No stairs
- No walking or standing for more than 10 minutes
- Wearing a custom back brace
- Walking with a cane
- Custom lumbar pillow for driving
- Unable to raise right arm above my shoulder
- Unable to lift my right leg off the ground after periods of walking
- Needed assistance getting in and out of the bathtub.
Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapist
I spent a year going to physical therapy 3-4 times a week. After a year I had regained some control over my right leg. I also was able to raise my right arm, but not above my head. I was then told there were no other options, we were finished with the therapy.
Seriously? Why was it so impossible to find something to provide back pain relief? I felt my back pain was never going to improve, and back pain relief was just a dream. My mobility would never improve. I would still constantly drop things. A 10 lb weight lifting restriction would hinder my life and favorite activities forever.
I then started to see an occupational therapist, hoping that a new doctor may find a way to deliver back pain relief. This doctor informed me that all the physical therapy had actually created more problems than it helped. My physical therapist had me doing ‘strengthening exercises’, and these were not what was needed for my injuries.
The new doctor then advised me that I needed to forget about returning to work. I was warned ‘even office work’ would impact my injuries, and likely cause more permanent damage to my spine.
Back Pain Ruined My Life
I had exhausted my medical leave, and paid time off within a year. I was struggling to get by financially. Facing the reality that my life was over before it really ever began. Some days I could walk fine, others a cane was needed.
On bad days I could not even get out of bed. I barely slept, often waking my fiance because the pain was so intense that I would not be able to contain my tears. Giving up work on my doctor’s recommendation was out of the question. I had to help provide income for my family.
As a result of having no back pain relief, I have had several other incidents through the years. My chronic back pain, and nerve damage will at times effect my legs, causing me to fall.
With a two story house I have no choice but to walk up and down stairs, despite my restrictions or any doctors orders. Trips to the ER from falling down the steps, or down a hill outside, have become a common occurrence for me. I have lost count of the X-rays I have had since my car accident.
And I am sure that continuing to work despite the advice from my doctor, no doubt had a negative impact.
Prescription Drugs for Back Pain
Through the years since my car wreck, I have tried many treatments searching for back pain relief. I have taken countless prescription medications like:
- Lidoderm patches
- Butrans patches
- Corticosteroid injections
Those are just a few of the drugs I have been prescribed.
- One is an anti-psychotic my first doctor thought ‘may’ help treat my chronic back pain – it offered no relief.
- Narcotics, opiates, and even prescriptions for depression that were supposed to help the pain and nerve damage.
- Corticosteroid injections were extremely painful. My hips, back and shoulder were all injected countless time.
- My doctor also prescribed pain patches.
All of the medications were so expensive that I could not afford my co-pays. And these drugs were not actually giving me any back pain relief.
There is also a strong history of addiction in my biological family, so taking narcotics kept me uneasy. I felt like I was a walking pharmaceutical factory. Still with all these medications, I had no back pain relief!
My breaking point was when I was prescribed Neurontin, a anti-seizure medication. My doctor hoped it would offer back pain relief. After taking Neurontin for a few weeks, I became extremely depressed. Sleeping 12-14 hours a day. Then I began to feel more and more depressed.
After a little over a month on Neurontin, I began having suicidal thoughts. I felt like a burden to everyone. I was not good enough. I thought I no longer deserved to live. My mind was eaten up with morbid thoughts.
One day as I was thinking how everyone would be better off without me, a light went off. This was not me. This was so beyond normal. I decided to research the drug I was taking.
To my surprise, suicidal thoughts and actions were listed among the top side effects. So I stopped taking Neurontin. I couldn’t afford the risks associated with taking that medication. Another failure.
Finding Hope for Back Pain Relief
If you are like me, you have searched back pain relief 1,000 times, hoping to find a natural remedy or anything that offers relief. Up until now all my searches for safe and natural back pain relief have been futile. Narcotics and opiates are the mainstream forms of treatment. No search ever offered a fix, a treatment or hope for actual back pain relief.
After years of trying drugs and therapy recommended by doctors, I was lost. Even going to a chiropractor had offered no solutions. My back pain was not going away. Nothing gave me any real back pain relief. It was not improving. Muscle rubs did nothing to give back pain relief, and they smelled bad. Doctors wanted to put me on narcotics. I suffered back pain without relief for seven years.
It seemed impossible to find addiction-free and natural back pain relief. I had never heard of Mobicosa, a 100% natural product, until my iMom insisted she’d be sending me a bottle of Mobicosa capsules plus a bottle of Mobicosa gel.
Of course I was a bit skeptical at first, after all I had been searching for back pain relief for years with zero luck. Then I started thinking of what actual back pain relief could mean for me. Was this finally my chance to begin living life again? A chance for me to be free of the limitations from my back pain? A chance for back pain relief without fear of addiction?
Back Pain Relief, Naturally
Taking a leap of faith, I began taking the Mobicosa capsules as soon as they arrived. Plus using the gel my iMom had suggested. I felt good about trying Mobicosa for back pain relief, since it is a 100% natural supplement:
- derived from New Zealand’s green-lipped mussels
- natural anti-inflammatory
- natural pain relief
- natural remedy for stiff joints.
I will skip the lecture on omega-3 fatty acids and how they are wonderful for joints. Or all the other scientific and technical reasons why Mobicosa is a great natural choice for back pain relief (as long as you are not allergic to shellfish or seafood). Instead I will tell you about my journey with Mobicosa, and why I continue to use it!
Quick Results from Mobicosa
Crazy as it may sound, within just the first week of using Mobicosa products I began noticing some changes. Mobicosa had in a week given me:
- Increased range of motion
- Decreased pain
- Improved sleep quality.
Within my first week using Mobicosa in the hope of receiving back pain relief, I was excited with what I found. My back pain had decreased. Not gone but not as horrible as it has been. I’ve never had a reduction in pain within the first week of using any other treatment!
Suddenly I discovered I could move about more freely, not stuck within the normal limited range of motion I had been used to all these years. I managed to stretch my right arm above my head without excruciating pain! Had I just reached something off a tall shelf without having to ask for help ~ YES I did!
This first month with Mobicosa has been a beneficial journey in my search for back pain relief. For the first time in years, I did not wake up in pain in the middle of the night! I slept for 6 hours straight! I cannot tell you the last time I remember sleeping so well!
Picking up my two year old son, is not near as difficult now (he weighs 40 lbs)!
There are chores that I have had difficulty with on our farm over the years. Normally stopping 3 times walking a bucket of water to the barn, I can now do it without stopping to take breaks! This past summer I walked to work, and it would take me a full two hours to walk three miles. I am happy to say that with the back pain relief I get using Mobicosa, I have now cut a 3 mile walk down to an hour!
